The key ingredient in traditional hair styling products is synthetic chemical copolymers, typically PVP polymer, acrylate copolymers and VA, methacrylate, PVM based copolymers. These synthetic copolymers form a layer of chemical film around your hair. They also get to your hair scalp, can cause allergic reactions and other health problems. As these chemical copolymers are made from petrochemicals, they are not environmentally friendly, not biodegradable so are contributing to the global environmental polluting problems.

Alcohol and silicone are also commonly found in conventional hair styling products. Alcohol is drying to the hair, and is also a highly flammable material.

On the contrary, Suncoat hair products are formulated without any synthetic, petrochemical based copolymers. We developed an innovative technology to use plant-based bio-polymer that is derived from corn starch, a renewable resource. No alcohol, no silicone.
